88 IROC 350 Exhaust Frustration!

What the heck is up with every major exhaust company not offering a catback for the 88 350??? I have contacted Hooker (the guy didn't even know the 88 IROC had an optional 350, and he was really rude), Dr. Gas and Edelbrock. The guy at Dr. Gas, (awesome customer service by the way!) told me that there is something different about the 88 350 I-Pipe/cat connection. He told me that from 83-87 they have a single cat with a specific I-Pipe setup that differs from the 88 and then 89-92 there is a dual cat setup. Which leaves a big empty space where 88 should be. The only catback option that claims it fits my vehicle and is in my price range is an Edelbrock/SDT catback, and I haven't heard many good things about them. Are there any other 88 350s here who have had this prob? Did you guys buy a 305 setup and modify it at the cat to fit or something? If anyone has some knowledge on this matter, or any 88 350 owners have any recommendations for a decent catback that is under 350 dollars, please post, it would help immensely.
Thanks,
JCRULZ

Hrmm, I have an 88 that I just swapped a 350 into. I put Hooker 2055 headers / Ypipe and got a Catco cat, and added Flowmaster American Thunder Catback.

Fit perfect.

AFAIK, the only distinction is between then single cat and dual cat setups, since 88 is a single cat you should have no issue with a single cat cat-back.
