dual 3 inch super turbos or ultraflo?
Im building a dual 3 inch exhaust system, and I want mufflers that are kinda loud and aggressive, but not annoying. Ive heard the super turbos on a single setup and they are too quiet. Ive heard the ultraflo on a single also and it sounds great. But im wondering how each would sound on such a low restrictive system as this?

I also have 1 3/4 hooker super comp headers and no cats, but maybe cats in the future. Stock lo3 cam now, xe282hr in near future.

I would go with the ultraflo's...superturbos have always been way to quite for my likings...and they don't sound that good
the ultra flo's are a straight through design, so they flo extremely good, and they are good at controlling the exhaust volume, but still gives you a nasty musclecar tone....
I love the sound of ultra's, I will probably end up swapping out my spintech pro streets for some ultra's...

I had a true dual with x pipe and super turbos on my 80z28 and it sounded great. I always got compliments on the sound.I later took off the tailpipes and replaced the superturbos with bullets. It got alot louder but not any faster in the 1/4 mile.

I've heard the super turbo's on a dual exhaust system and it sounded ok. A little too quiet IMO. I've also heard an ultraflow on a single exhaust system and it sounds AWESOME!!! not to mention the ultraflow's straight through design. You can't beat that for performance.

I agree, the ultra flo does sound awesome, but ive only heard it on a single setup. The super turbos are a little quiet, but im thinking big 1 3/4 headers and a 3 inch dual would amp up the sound a lot. I want to be able to hear my music inside the car and carry on a conversation. And be able to fire up the car in the middle of the night, and not wake up everyone in the neighborhood. Anyone think the ultra flos would be too loud? Thanks for the replies.

i don't think they will be too loud. You should be alright, but V8 exhaust is pretty bassy, so anything with an aftermarket muffler is going to pose potential to wake up a neighbor or too..
The super turbo's sound too much like a truck to me when you crack on them..

with the stock setup, either are going to be kinda quite...however, once you start adding cam and heads that flow, you'll be surprised at how much louder it gets.
my 360 is almost unbareablely loud. has a big crane cam (238*/248* @ .050) with 10.2:1 c/r and worked 113 heads.
it's loud.
my bonestock 84 lg4 spare motor is in the car right now, i thought it would sound really crappy with it's low 8.5:1 c/r and peanut cam, but it's just REALLY mellow and has decent tone at higher rpms.
my exhuast is a 2 1/2" dual system with hedman longtubes, h-pipe and some flowmaster knock-off chambered style muffler.
