Magnaflow Catalytic Converters? (Newb questions!)
Hello
I have a 91 Formula 350 and need some new catalytic converters. I bought some Magnaflows from Summit... two 3" ones that were listed as the ones for my car... but was told by the mechanic that I needed 2.5 inlet/outlet ones instead.. is that right? And are all Magnaflow cats performance ones? The only ones I see listed as 2.5 inlet/outlet are "Universal". Not sure if there are different levels of performance there.. I just want to be sure I'm getting the best ones.
Sorry to be such a newb.
Thanks

You have the dual cat option right? Yeah those should be 2.5"
You can just order the universal ones, they should work fine. If you have to weld an air tube into them it's nothing that a decent exhaust shop can't do.
