Best "tube" style muffler

I'm looking for the best sounding tube style muffler. My buddy has bullets, and to me they sound like a truck ..so is there anything better out there? i was thinking a couple SLP loudmouth resonators. Its gonna be for a dual setup...

i was looking into these http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0265&langId=-1 they look like they could sound like the GMMG system, perhaps louder.. what do you guys think?

or these http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0265&langId=-1 I would like a "flowmaster" sound, but not with the flowmaster restriction. this is a straight thru design, so I'm not sure how much flowmaster sound I'll actually get...

True. Only real benefit I see appart from price is that they are shorter and will then be easier to finda place to stuff them. I might lean in that direction. I still have no idea for my car though. I just want it to be nice and quiet but I have a LONG duration cam and it is gonna be very lopey and stuff....I want the most quiet bullet style, just for eas of installation.

yes i have dual dumps right now...but i'm going over the rear axle with duals, then they are gonna criss cross through dual bullet style mufflers than out the back. So its gonna be a little tight, but I have a decent amount of room to work with. I think the longer skinnier type is gonna be better. But those SW chambered are a bit expensive, but if someone has experience with them, and they sound amazing i'll have no problem spending the money for them...

True. I made a list of all the bullet style mufflers and they are one fot the most expensive. If not the most. What about the moroso sprial flow? Or magnaflow oval race? I am still up in the air, there are just soo many options and too many random opinions out there. I think I am gonna start kinda cheap in case I hate the sound.

yea maybe i'll do that too. Those SW looks bada*s but looks like they are made more for sound than performance.

I'll look into some of the other ones. But if anybody has any experience with them, feel free to chime in here. I dont' really wanna hear anymore on the bullets, tons of people have those. Sounds like a big 4x4 coming down the road.

i'm really interested in the SLP loudmouth II muffler. I think that would sound real nice, because I love the wicked sounding mufflers, I have Pro Streets right now, and they sound amazing, and the original loudmouth sounded good to me too. but needed a little work, and it sounds with the LM II they worked out the bugs, so maybe i'll give that a try. Who knows. I wish some people had some experience with some of them...

Just to throw this out there, the SLP LM sounds much more like a "truck" than the bullets do.

Bullets are all in the setup, click hear me in my sig. Doesn't sound like a truck to me

If you're looking for something different, try a chambered muffler from summit. They have a different sound you don't hear everyday.

well dynomax bullets are the only round style muffler I have heard, and it was on a setup almost just like mine, and if you close your eyes, you would have thought it was a truck passing you by. I dunno why, it just has that tone to it, and just doesn't sound like performance to me. Just sounds like noise.

I'm trying to maintain a quaility sounding exhaust, urbanhunter have you heard the LM II muffler yet? I'm wondering what improvements they have made...

My buddies 95 LT1 has a full exhaust with a loudmouth, and it does not sound like a truck at all. It sounds plain pissed off

I am starting to seriously consider a GMMG for next year.

Yes I have, it's quieter than the original LM and sounds a little better. It has the same tone as a bullet, but it's quieter.

The original LM is simply a hollow tube. That's all. The bullet muffler does alot more toning. I havn't gotten to see the LM II up close and personal, but I've heard it on someone else's car.

Now, GMMG is the way to go if you want:

A. Noise
B. Tone
C. Flow

Unfortunatly your wallet is going to be pissed when you give it the bill. Either your wallet or your wife, one of the two

Well I am ordering some 3"pipe and bends today. There are so many opinions on here about different bulet syle mufflers that I am gonna just go ahead and buy what looks like it wold be easier to install. Dynomax bullets I think. Then if it is too loud, buy those collector inserts. ...

There is still a tinny bit of me that wants to go oval and spend all my $. time for a direct comparison.
