Fuel line too close to header?
I've nearly finished with installing my Jet-Hot coated 2055s, and finishing up a few other random tasks that need to be done (new starter, new valve cover gaskets, new EGR valve). Everything is going well and is on schedule for when I wanted to have it done (started on Monday, want to have it finished by Thursday).
Anyway, my friend and I were putting on the passenger side header earlier tonight and he pointed out that the hard fuel line is sitting about a centimeter away from the header collector. At first I didn't think anything of it, but after looking at it myself, it seems like the line is almost touching the collector and the header is installed exactly how it should be.
Will it be safe to run the headers with the fuel line that close? I definately don't want to start a fire, but I can't see how I can fix this problem other than having new lines put into place. My friend suggested a heat shield of some sort, but it seems too close for that to be effective.
Any ideas?

Considering the stock exhaust was in this configuration it might be ok. For me though, I would move that crap to the otherside and out of the way. You may not have to but a little peace of mind goes a long way. And in my case, if it "could" happen, it will.

I understand what you are saying. I seem to have that sort of bad luck too. Fortunately, one of my friends says he can relocate the line to a better location for me free of charge.
Thanks for the advice.
