Dynomax gets very good reviews here. It is one of the more quiet catbacks. Pretty good sound in my opinion. You can here the engine but it is not obnoxious. I have the 2.5 inch one with the 2 bolt cat flange on my car.
I still think my old stock 83 restrictive, dual resonator setup sounded better. Oh well.

Have the 3 inch system in my 88 with the dual 2 1/2 tailpipes, with a Catco convertor. Get lots of comments on how good it sounds, deep and powerful without being real noisy, nice rumble on the highway. Good fit too. Only thing with this deal is getting the pipe over the rear axle - tight fit. I had my rear end out while installing it but I'd guess you can unhook the shocks and drop it enough to get the pipe in. Overall, a nice system.

I have it (currently) on my Iroc with SLP headers and it sounds great, for the money I think it's a good setup.

well i want that real muscle car sound with the on power rumble and off power crackle, i just love it!! I just though for 180 bucks it might be hard to beat. Yall think its the best deal for the money, as i dont have much of the green stuff. I alread have it dualed out with a crossflow muffler, which i dont know what kind but it iusnt loud at all, and was thinkin bout just changin the muffler, but the old tubing on my car has a little quarter size hole. I might get a crossflow flowmaster, but ive been told to stay away from flowmasters. And i dont want to have to make a true dual setup. Are there any other catbacks under 250?? Or crossflow mufflers under 150?? Thanks alot guys.

i have a 1982 z28 lg4, just removed from the y pipe back, put on a test pipe from e-bay, and a dynomax turbo cat back from summit, fits like a glove and sounds much better than stock.....louder but not too loud....very happy with the sound and the cost.......it sound similar to the L69 cars but a little louder.......performance was improved as well.......

I love mine. Can't beat it for the price.
I have the Hedman headers, Hi Flow Dynomax cat, and Dynomax cat back. It is louder than the stock, but not as loud as some of the Flowmasters.
I did a little write up on the installation of it about a year ago.

I too bought a 'test pipe' off ebay and am getting ready to put it in place of the cat.

where are you gus finding the 3" system? Or did you fab it up? I got headman shorties with their y-pipe, and I was gonna run straight 3" into the dynomax system, but all Im findin on Summit is 2.5" systems.

Check out the 3" Hooker cat-back. I love how mine sounds. Noticeable, yet not obnoxious at idle and cruising, but it sounds great, especially at 6k RPM

It looks like the 46669 is 2.5" or 2.75" pipe, from the diagram.
In that PDF, whats the difference between the 4669 and the 44063?
Im wonderin if I can use the 44063 I pipe, with the 43248 over-axle pipe, and still use a 3" super turbo that exits on both sides. The muffler it shows to use with that system exits only on the driver side.

Napa has all the dynomax/walker stuff. You can get any section, for any of the dynomax systems offered. Just look in the book and pick out what you need.
I have the 3" system on mine, with the dual 2.5"outlets on the drivers side. IM not crazy about the two pipes on the drivers side. But its the best flowing with the pipes on the drivers side. Thats why i went with it at the time.
The sound will depend on the motor a 305 is not going to be as deep/loud of a sound as a 400. I dont think i would want it any louder then its is. I had the same setup on my 350 and the exhuast note got louder when the 400 went in.
