Hooker catback question 16823hkr?

I need someone to confirm this for me if possible.

It will be for an 89 TTA.

I know the 16822 will work for a tta, it has a 4 bolt flange at the cat.

Does anyone know if the 16823 system is a 4 bolt at the cat or not?(hooker said it was slip fit bt like i said, im getting 2 diff stories)

Reason this occured I am getting two different stories

TTA board says 16823 will work(supposedly what they have), but no one can confirm with picture or positive proof.

2 people here had pics of the 16822 being a 4 bolt flange but there is a difference in the drvr side exhaust hanger.(can make it work if i have too)

I am going for a true bolt on and dont want to cut and weld if I dont have too.

Just trying to figure this out so any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Jeremy

Hey Jeremy. Pretty simple question you asked...not sure why no one has replied back. I posted recently also and am having the same problem getting a simple answer, so don't feel bad.

Anyway you probably already got the answer to your question by now. But I spoke to someone at Hooker yesterday regarding their cat-backs. The only difference between the 16822 and the 16823 is the connection of the I-pipe to the cat. The 16822 has the flange and the 16823 is a slip fit.

Not sure why the TTA board would say go with the 16823 considering it is also more expensive. Maybe some people changed over to a slip fit cat and need the slip fit I-pipe? I think slip fit give you the true 3" throughout if I am understanding this correctly. But in your case you definitely want the 16822 with the flange connection.

Hope this helps. Write back with your opinion of this system once you get it. I am planning on getting it as well.
