Hey mw66nova....how hard was it to make that exhaust? Did you have to make any bends? Could you get some more pics of your exhaust I am very interested in doing the same setup.

In the picture of your car up on the 2 post lift- it looks like your hedders would make gettin your oil filter out a pain in the ***- is it?- AND is your H/x pipe efficient?

i just got a question for the guys already running true dual... right now i have true dual on mine its a headmen setup down the stock exhaust channel.. i just have the clamps welded together and up tight to the body as best i can... doesnt hang to low.. its 2 1/2 all the way back now i just tossed in a new block from a 355 to a 383 i have the stuff to change it over to 3 inch besides the headers themself but will i really need it? im already plannign on swapping out the mufflers for somethign nicer higher flow with cut outs... but would going that 1/2 inch all the way back do me any good? or just a waste of time

as you can see my mufflers are tight together and acctually vibrate pretty bad at higher RPM i plan on switching them out and putting the mufflers in the little space between the trunk and wheel well on each side..

Oil filter is not that bad, I seen worse on front wheel drive cars..I usually let it cool a bit before attempting oil filter replacement. And yes the "cross over" pipe does work, the exhaust was not linked when I first installed it and it was somewhat raspy...after I put the connection in there it smoothed right out.

thats exactly the way mine is but im trying to find a decnt muffler to run them seperate out the back... i dont like them ontop of eachother like that they rattle too bad, im thinking about getting the warlock muffler with the cutout built into it so with 3 wing nuts taken out your runing straight pipes, but im not sure if they will fit up and down in the small space between the trunk and wheel wells... i could always use a glass pack or somethign smaller but id rather not anyone try that yet?

i currently have pretty much the same thing, true dual 2.5inch and moroso spiral flows at the back and an x-pipe. those spiral flows sound damn good, cost me 800 dolalrs to get it done, but i put the headers in myself, or else it would of been over a grand.

my exhaust mufflers are not on top of each other they are like 2 inchs or more apart. they are just side by side.

well I finally finished mine and I can say that I am impressed. I have 4" of ground clearance although it doesn't look like it in the pics because the car is on carpet.

After a long time of the original picture collection being down I've finally put it up again. I'll be adding more pictures and redoing it all pretty soon ...I'm kinda lazy though.

watsup guys. i got a true 2.5 inch dual system. its exits out infront of the rear tires on both sides. it has car chemistry race mufflers. not exactly the quietest mufflers but they are quieter than straight headers. here's a side shot for those of you that wanna see. looks like a 2 inch but its 2.5

Hooker Super Comps with custom hedman s tensions and flowmaster delta force race mufflers. I have about 3.5" of clearance at the s tension and 4" at the mufflers.

I'm going with the minimum amount of components to make it cool... 3" to 2 1/2" collector reducers, 2 1/2" summit cutouts, flowmaster 40 series mufflers, all welded to each other in that order... no pipes, just 3 components welded together. Short and simple

just my 2 cents, but i have always had the understanding that a single 3" pipe will outflow 2 - 2 1/2 pipes anyday, saves you a lot of headaces, but i did have duels on my car once and it definatly had a different sound to it.

im lookin to do a true dual exhaust on my 85 iroc and i was wonderin how much urs came out to. i was plannin on gettin new headers, then no cats or just hollowed out, i kno its risky but im willin to risk it wit the cops lol.

Dual Exhaust
Hi,
I have seen many pics here with dual exhaust running straight to mufflers and not many using the x pipe, would someone explain the benefit of the x pipe versus running right to the mufflers. I know of a setup (no pics) of single exhaust to dual tips using a dynomax bullet muffler on a six speed 4th gen thats sounds awesome and super load but quiet at idle, all 3 inch pipe. So for those who have 305ci and want the performance and sound but don't want dual setup just fab a nice 2.5 inch mandrel system with dynomax bullet muffler and it will be a screamer.

love the exhaust setups on here. on the first page with the white camaro is how i plan to do my exhaust. im going to use shorty or long tube headers with a t5 transmission that i will be swapping in here soon. and above 2 post from mine, have you actually heard the dynomax bullet mufflers? i planned on getting two 3" inch mufflers for my TA. i was just curious but thats the mufflers i want.

Just wanted to add a pic of my new true dual exhaust...... IMCO mufflers, flowmaster h-pipe, and new hedman hedders.....if I could figure out how to do a sound clip I would.....sounds AMAZING and wow what a difference in the feel of power compared to the stock exhaust and edelbrock headers!
