Gauge of hooker 2055 y-pipe?
What gauge steel is used to make the 3" y-pipe for the 2055's? Im thinking of weling an O2 bung onto the y-pipe but it seems a bit thin. I have a welder only set up for flux core only and Im not exactly experienced so Im a bit leery of welding it myself, especially if its less then 20 gauge steel.

They appear to be the same as the primaries, which is 18 gage IIRC.
Any particular reason you're not using the O2 bung provided in the driver's side collector?

It is, but they're 2.5" OD downpipes and 3" OD after joining together. All mandrel bends.
