NJ inspection advice..
I have an '88 w/tinted windows, gutted cat and flowmaster muffler.
Is it worth trying to go to inspection? If not what's my choice with emissions...can't afford new cat.
Thanks

There are cheaper Catco ones in Summit Racing or the like.
I have a used Random 3" diameter cat I pulled off my '88 GTA setup, can't use it w/ my LS1, used for two years if you're interested. It fits the factory single-cat arrangement, 2-bolt flange at the rear and slip-fit at the front, used a band-clamp up front so the pipe isn't crimped up at all.
$100 plus shipping or pick it up at my house in Randolph NJ.

I would advise you to stay away from Catco Cats. Although this is just my opinion, and I have no official support - two of my friends went with Catco High Flow cats, and they both clogged within a year.
I reccommend Carsound. I've had mine for over 3 years now, with no problems what-so-ever.
As far as NJ Inspection ... I don't think anywhere will pass you with tinted windows. Find yourself a gas station that does inspection, and pay the $50. Well worth it. (no lines either)
Where in NJ are you? If you are in the Central NJ area (Hamilton Square Area) or don't mind driving, I can recommend a place around here.
