Headers similar to hooker 2055s but without AIR fittings?

okay i was thinking about going with some 2055s in my future buildup but i just saw a picture of them and they include the air fittings. i took off my AIR pump about 3 months ago and i don't want to put it back on either. is there a header around that is just as good as the 2055s but without the emmisons crap on it? and i do need an O2 fitting just not AIR lines, if it comes down to it i could prolly tap my own fitting for the O2 sensor. thankx

Hooker makes the 2460 with no air fittings, but they've also got no ypipe, at least they didn't a few months ago. Heddman makes a set identical to them except with ball flanges and they come with a nice y pipe. I have the Heddmans that I got from Jet Hot. They were around $300, but I'm a dealer so they'll be around $400.

too bad i don't plan on using a y-pipe . gonna make it true duals with glasspack style mufflers (not acutal glasspacks), should sound pretty mean

thankx

I bought the 2055's and cut the air tubes off and welded up the holes. Any place that welds could do it real easy and wouldnt cost much.

Then why not run a set of longtubes?

You may want to look at SLP's then. They sell of their headers in AIR and non-AIR versions. You may also want to look at the Mac's that have only a thin single AIR tube instead of the alien stock version that comes on most smog headers.

i'll have to look into those SLPs, and welding would not be a problem at all seeing as our shop has 12 mig and 6 tig welders. and i would go with longtubes if it wasn't for the clearance issues, back home in mass i live in a very hilly city and i don't need to be wrecking $400 headers. thankx guys

they'll perform better and probably have the same ground clearance as the shorties with duals.

you make a valid point, i'm gonna eliminate the standard muffler in hopes of gaining some clearance there. i guess i'll just have to be careful and drive slow over bumps.
