Buyers Remorse - Did I order the right stuff?
I hate posting redundant or pointless posts. But, having said that, I just today ordered Hooker 2055 headers from Jet-Hot (with an O2 bung). I also ordered a Catco 9118 and Flowmaster 17233 (American Thunder) cat back from Summit.
I did a lot of reading on the boards, and this sounded like the best combination of power, price and convenience (I'm loooking for as close to "bolt on" as possible).
As you can see, I've got a (virtually) bone stock 305 TBI. Someone please reassure me that I made the right choices.

With the exception of the headers, I got the edelbrock ceramic coated headers, I did get the same flowmaster system and catco cat about 1 week ago from summit. Its not as loud as I thought it was going to be. Little disapointing. Total install was about 11 hours. Headers were a pain to get on. I have the 305TPI. P/S wasn't to bad. D/S was the hardest. Had to take the steering shaft off. All in all I like it. Atleast the butt dyno does. Good luck.

I've got the same set up. Only diff is i've got a strait pipe where the cat was. It all bolted up very easially. Actually, i dropped the D/S right in from the top, no problem. Passenger side came in from the bottem. that one was a little work. But i got the whole thing in w/o jacking the engine, or moving steering shaft.
I was very pleased with the resulting sound and the power increase.

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far for your words of encouragement. I'm kinda new to this 'hot rod' thing and I'd feel stupid making a mistake on something as simple as exhaust with all of the great advice available on the boards. Keep the comments coming.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Yes I Did! (to answer my own question)
Finished the Header/Exhaust install over the weekend, much to the credit of my son. He did all of the dirty work (removing the old exhaust). It was a good time. I got to teach him a few things (we had to 'create' a couple of tools). Thanks again everyone for your encouragement. I'll post my 'lessons learned' in another post.
