just SMASHED my hooker long tubes.. what to get now?
What is the difference between long tubes and shorties?? obviosly i know the size but in terms of performance and sound? is it that big of a difference?

I don't know the math/physics behind it, but LTs will generally make more power than shorties. How much different, depends on the build of the engine. A really tame sbc will probably make the same power with either header. A really wild one will make a good amount more power with long tubes.

yeah they hang about an inch off the ground... i was going fast and hit a drop in the road and they got smashed shut on 2 of the 8 tubes...
i was considering switching to shorties but i want that thing to scream loud.... will i lose sound by going shorties?
