Yup. I had the same problem. Like the other guys said, packaging oil.
My hooker is stinky too, but it doesnt compare to the smell coming from my muffler... LOL

I'll be honest, I really didn't like one single clip that I'd found of the Hooker catback. The guy who bought my Loudmouth had a new Hooker catback, and I really didn't have another system in mind, so it worked out. Wow. I must say it sounds awesome. No interior resonance, yet it screams at WOT.
I'd buy one again!

When I got my hooker ceramic headers on, they stank up a storm for about a week. They still stink a little when I run it hard and put it away wet.
I do have their cat back too, and it is a great balance of rumbly but not too loud at lower revs, and it roars like a lion when you're up the rpms. Very happy with it, would buy it again in a heartbeat.
