Who makes a universal cat back without the ball flange?
I installed my hooker 2055s with a universal 3in catco cat and I am having trouble finding a catback that doesn't need the ball flange for install. I just need the cat end to slip into the universal cat. Does anyone make one?

The cat backs are designed to be a bolt in, so they work with what is stock, you have altered you exhaust system away from stock so none will bolt in. Do what Duron said.

I was gonna buy the direct fit but for the extra 100 I couldn't afford it at the time. About cutting off the stock flange, I don't think that will work cause its the stock size not 3in like I need. I was browsing the flowmaster website and they have a slip on catback system but its only a single outlet exaust system. I would like dual.

first , find a good 3" flange ( the metal plate that attaches the cat to the catback and exhaust hanger) that will bolt to your catback and hanger, napa has one but it's like $40 part# EXH31935 special order. or you could try to somehow make the 2-1/2" hole on your stock cat's flange a 3 incher.
once you find your flange , go here :
http://www.customaircraft.com/esc.html
scroll down to part# 515 , 3" male ball ...$37, order it, you have to call in to order.
once you have your ball and flange, install the flange on the cat and weld the ball on the end. provided you have the correct length cat ... i believe the stocker is 23" from end to end, you should be all set , now, do yoiu still have a stock y-pipe? if the cat is 3" in/out and you still have a stock 2-1/4" y=pipe then you may be in for some more work. all in all if you spent $80 on the cat $40 on the flange and $37 on the ball , you're around $160 ... at this point you could have bought a Random Tech cat , or saved $50 by buying a stock fit 3" cat. , if you don't weld and don't know anyone who can then you're even deeper in the hole.
alternatively you could cut the female ball receptacle off of the catback, use a step-down or step-up pipe to make the cat slip in or onto the catback and use a universal hanger or such.
just some ideas good luck!
