SLP header screwed up? check it out.
a long story short, i have the SLP 1-3/4 headers and am finally going to put them on now that i am rebuilding... well, i bought these damn things over 3 years ago just cuz they were on sale. been in the same box ever since so i go open them up today to do a fit check to see if my new wiring routing is going to interfere, and the driver side header appears to have the "collector" on wrong. and i say this because as it sit on the engine, the exhaust will not go straight down to the pipe - instead it angles forward towards the frame and also the o2 bung is inboard towards the motor instead of facing forward like it does on the stock manifold. correct me if i'm wrong, but it doesn't look right. now with that said, i've heard nothing but crap about SLP's customer service, so imagine the battle at hand when i try to explain this to them after having bought them over 3 years ago... i don't have a picture to post now, but can probably get one tomorrow.

I don't know what to tell you on that other than the only way to be sure is to try to find some installed pics to see if yours will look similar. If you can do a dry run install just to be sure, then do it. I don't think the folks at SLP are gonna be very helpful, it has been some time!!! Hope it works out for ya...
Just sell the damn things on ebay and get some Hooker LTs. Then you will have all kinds of headaches, but at least you'll have longtubes!!!
