Hooker vs. Dynomax

Here's the deal.. I work at Carquest and we are a dealer of Walker, who owns Dynomax... to make a long story short I can have the whole exhaust system (headers, cat and cat back) for 600 bucks CND... the thing is.. it's 2 1/2 ID... now the same setup in Hooker but with 3 ID is almost 1G... I am building a 350 with about 350 hp and 380 lbs torque (throwing numbers, not actuals) so here is my question: is it worth to pay almost twice the price for a 3 inches ID system?

i personally would just go to a exhaust shop and get them to fab a mandrel bent 3" set up as for hooker aero chamber mufflers they are wicked sounding altho so is my dyno max so its really up to personal preference altho i thikn it would be cheaper for you to go with a dynomax muffler and get a 3" from the headers back and 2.5" out of the muffler

I already asked around for custom made exhaust systems... for the cat back I pay 250 CAN... I haven't found a shop that will mendrel bend my exhaust... only bend it normal... my question was is a 2.5 inches wide exhaust too restrictive for the kind of numbers I want to pull with the 350? (350hp/380lbs)

well see i have heard yes and no about 2.5 and this is what i have heard that if you are going y pipe then you should go three inch altho if you are running true dual go 2.5 for each so its really up to you to be honest less restriction means your motor can breath better which like us humans is a good thing
