Installation of Edelbrock TES Headers...

Ok for you guys who have these headers, can you please tell me the installation process. I bought mine used and i woudl like to know if its just a matter of unbolting the exhaust manifold and botling these on or do you gotta move stuff in order to get them in and out?

The guy who was gonna help me cant now, deployment to the gulf.

So i might need to try something myself.

I don't know if they will bolt onto the exhaust system you have, but as far as bolting them to the heads, then yes. You just take off the old manifolds, and put the headers in their place. Just make sure you have real header gaskets, not manifold gaskets.

You should have a new set of bolts for your headers too, don't reuse the stock manifold bolts. WAY too long.

im in the process of putting a pair on my 84 camaro, its a pain in the A$$, the passenger side is a piece of cake it slips right in with room to spair, but the driver side it hits the brake lines and stearing column, so ur gonna have to bend the lines out of the way and take that stearing column out. Also im having a problem re-mounting the power stearing pump, so be prepared for that.

Really on the passenger side it is easy? That is weird. Everyone usually says the drivers side is the easiest. Do you have AC? Did the O2 sensor reach the header?

I think you have to modify that bracket to get it to fit right. Thats what it says in the instructions.

i was in the process of redoing my heads, so i already had everything out of the way (power stearing, alt, smog pump, A/C, etc) for when i installed my headers. I also got an edelbrock water pump which has spacers too, and figuring out where they go is the pain in the a$$. but yea the passenger side was a breeze, the driver side is not so bad after u get the stearing column out of the way.
I didnt put the o2 sensor back in yet cause i didnt have one to put in while I was putting the driver side header in, so im just gonna get it in from undernieth.
What bracket are you talking about, i havent had to modify any, yet.
