what other make/model headers can fit?
i was wondering if i was getting headers for my camaro, which has a pretty open engine bay(no AC or other junk) do i have to get headers for a thirdgen or could i "ghetto rig" headers from a different type of car in there. how hard would it be to make headers from a 67-69 camaro SBC fit my thirdgen camaro?

i dunno, just because i don't want to spend much money on the camaro, anything i buy new will be for the GTA...
just had a thought....my GTA currently has rusty lookin hedmans, so when i get some ceramic coated ones for that i will pass on the rusty hedmans to he camaro..
the reason i want headers for the camaro is because i have a set of true dual pipes to put on it with only cherrybombs for mufflers and i wanted to get the loudest sound possible by getting rid of those restrictive manifolds.

why not take the rusty ones and get them coated for the camaro or viceversa? the thirdgens have a tight fit in the motor bay and your best bet it to spend the 100 bucks or so to get ones that are pre-bent to fit. unless you plan on running true duals, i wouldn't waste the time or money making the 1st gen headers fit.

then get a set of thirdgen specific long tubes. we have a rather unique layout with our cars, there really aren't alot of V8 unibody cars out there. get set that you know will fit, you will be much happier in the end.
