whats the best sleeving to protect wires from headers

I need to find some protective sleeving or something that will protect my electrical wires from burning. Mainly, the starter wires and the coolant temp sensor wire. I already have 6" boots from Taylor for the spark plug wires but now I need something for the electrical wires. What works and what dont. Some of this stuff is $50 and I want to spend my money once. I also dont want something that I have to cut my starter wires apart to get it to slide through. All those fuesalbe links cant possibley snake through a 1/2" sleeve now can they?
