"Touching up" ceramic coating?
Can ceramic coating be touched up? The AIR tubes on one my headers have broken. I want to cut the tubes off entirely but I don't want the headers to look like crap after they're gone. Does anyone know if the coating can be touched up once the holes have welded shut?

I don't think it can be "touched up". There is a special process used to put it on, unlike paint, so you'd likely have to have it redone to cover everything.

It's not really all that special but, putting cermakrome (ceramic coating I use) over itself is similar to what happens when you use laquer touchup paint on an enamel finish
The overlapped areas will cause lifting and flaking of the prior finish, at least... that's what happend to me on an area I missed when recoating my old edelbrocks. "High-temp" paint will pretty much fry it off too during the cure stage (found this out from curiousity).
It may be possible, if you (or whoever) are meticulous enough to be able to get (tape) a sharp line around the spot to be fixed then, blast and lightly touch it up. I've never tried but, I'd be curious to see if it can be done. Granted, it would probably still show the where the repair was done but, at leat it wouldn't be a big spot of rust. TPI383 would likely be one to give you a better answer. Just my opinion though..
