What are Hooker Aerochamber mufflers made from? How long will it last?

Curious to know what the Hooker Aerochamber mufflers are made from? And how long it will last under my car until the paint starts to flake on it, or it starts to rust etc?

Thanks

I have been running my aero chamber muffler for 3 years and the black paint is still on it. It looks brand new.

They are quite durable mufflers. The metal is much thicker than any other muffler I've seen. And I'd love to know what paint/process they use to black out the muffler. Because after 4 years of daily driving, which includes rain, snow, and plenty of salt, the muffler looks almost new. Not even any mild rust on the case welds like most other mufflers. The tailpipe tips that come with their catback however, are another story...

Yeah, I agree. The story is that they suck.

I know that they are polished, but I have heard that they last much longer than the old ones. Not sure if they are plated or something else. Well, they at least look 100% better.
