y-pipe spacers?

y-pipe spacers?

i had my y-pipe disconnected from the manifolds when i was working on getting my starter in. now that the starter is in, i wanted to re-attatch my y-pipe. but i've seemed to have lost those little y-pipe spacers things . they go in between the end of the manifold and the begining of the y pipe on each side. anyone know what im talkin about? i can't find anyone who sells them, and i need a new one (i only lost one of them)

if anyone finds this thread in the future, this is how i fixed my problem. it turns out theres only one spacer...it's on the right manifold (if you are standing under the car and faceing the front bumper) there is NO spacer on the left side. the way i got it to fit was by connecting the left side firsth, then the right side. it was tough to get it on but it worked.

ya know i always had a problem getting the dumb ypipe to seal against those donuts, one day i got pissed and ditched the manifolds for something that was less of a hassle. i like the 3 bolt flanges on headers so i opted for those plus i get some HP gains.

mmhmm thats what im doing to do...hedman shorties probably. and definately jet hot coated. but i should get the beat on the roard first

Sounds like you are talking about a heat riser valve, which can appear to be a spacer if it has been gutted. It was originally located on the PS manifold of my old LG-4. Loong gone..
