Honestly, I didn't know the headers were supposed to arrive with hardware, and I didn't find out until I had already purchased bolts and things needed to install them.

If I had known they were supposed to I would have contacted them long ago and brought it to their attention.

Ditto, I was very pleased with the service I received when I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago.

How are you getting them so quick?? I was told 15-18 business days which puts my delivery around the end of the month. Different headers?

14 business days, guess that is not that much quicker than it sounded at first. BTW, mine are hooker 2055 and am having the AIR tubes cut and welded. Maybe that accounts for the extra time.

NO EMAIL CONTACT OR PM!!!!

So far, I have yet to be contacted by anyone at ACS regarding my situation! I have tried calling multiple times, numerous emails and NO RESPONSE!

I am trying to be fair to ACS and have not yet posted on the entire situation YET .....................in an attempt to be fair to ACS.

this is what my headers looked like when I received them! This didn't concern me until my headers started to flake on one primary tube. I will post pic's when I get a smaller pic.

Wow!!! No customer service. Don't they return e-mails? I don't think I'll risk it. Takes too long to receive them and no service. Hmmmmmm. Glad I read these last few posts. Thanks.

wait till you hear my story! 3 sets of headers, I had to pay to ship the two wrong sets back to ACS. The third set is flaking
after one month after install...ACS will not return emails or calls!

I have been trying to resolve this with no cooperation from them?

ANd YES!

I tried to call and email them multiple times! I am hoping to get this resolved without any conflict. So for now, I am being very reserve about this subject...........

FOR NOW.

The flaking is the issue, however, so is the lack of customer service. I have been trying to give them the benifit of doubt and be fair to them........enough is enough

This is my 3rd set, and I am hoping to get the 4th set right, but wonder if they are even comming? NO communication from them, everytime I call, Dave is not there, nor is Jimi. I get, he will be in after lunch but is never available or there??? And yet, I was initally promised my headers sometime in July/August before my school started. I was accepted into the seattle medic one program and I'm running off of caffeen and 1-2hrs sleep every 24-48hrs! I'm rummy as he11! Needless to say, NOW I HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE TO PUT THE HEADERS ON since I am in school! for nothing!

1 month after install. Note the crappy finsih work, that is how they were sent to me! They said that they were in a rush to get them out ot me and if I wanted the shinny finish to just simply rub some mothers polish on them...

Good luck! NO EMAILS RETURNED! PHONE CALLS>>>NOTTA! I have tried and tried to contact them with NO RESULTS! ALL I get is the receptionist who ALWAYS says that Dave is not here! So now, If I don't hear anything from him, I am going to contest the purchase with my visa...since I used it to purchase the headers. Visa is really good about stuff like this!

This was my THRID SET! The first too looked good, too bad they were not for my car! The third set, the application was correct, however, the coating obviously were a bit to be desired!

I just hope these post gets their attention to get this problem

F I X E D!

You know, the funniest part of all, is that these guys read this stuff. They are just too chicken to respond. Nothing like good customer service, huh? I can gaurantee you that they will not be getting any business from anyone I know.

You know the strange thing, I was really trying to give ACS a fair chance! Called mutiple times! Emails, everything. I didnot want to resort to the posting of my problems with my headers, however, they left me little choice!

I have yet to post the entire story, which I will soon do on a separate thread. Jimi was really a pleasure to deal with, however, i can not contact either him or Dave??? Nor will they contact me??? I am still hoping to hear from them via their email is down, or changed (i used two different email addys for them), or they have been on vacation (but Kat said he would be in after lunch numerous times...so I doubt that)....still hoping for the best...

You think the story is bad now, wait until I post the entire story on a separate thread!:lala: I am a very honest person adn take loyality and honesty very seriously. That being said, I will restrain myself from slamming them and just stick to the facts as I have all along......stay tuned in a week or so

Craig is an outstanding guy. I'm sorry to hear you were wronged.

I guess I'm very glad I went with JetHot, they made a SMALL mistake, and corrected it immediatly. And without warning, i had a $50 EXTRA refund from them and an writen and signed apology for the minor problems.

After being fed a line of bull**** repetitively when asked where my **** was, myself being employed by Visa lent itself well to reminding them that not only had they committed fraud, they also violated their Visa merchant agreement which clearly stated, like all others, that the customer account is to be charged only after physically shipping the goods.

Dave was "Out with a customer" once more, for the 90th ****ing time, at the beginning of my conversation with her, yet miraculously appeared with in a few seconds reach of the phone upon my informing the phone-girl of the above.

You may be wondering about the fraud thing and here is the explanation:

I was quoted 15-18 days. Day 18 came and no headers. I call and am told all Hooker headers are back ordered. So a bit later I call as just another Joe-Shmoe customer and ask the ETA for a set of Hooker 2210's and am quoted 15-18 days.

Well, either she was lying or telling the truth about the back order issue which means if they were, then you cannot advertise and accept funds for something you do not have! If they were not backordered and just forgot about my ****, then she was lying again. Either way they are not getting my business as their current TGO rap sheet stands.

The Good: A company a few hours from me, ironically and pissing me off enough, does A+ work. I saw a set of Stahl's come out of there Tuesday and they were the best I have seen yet. They really did have a mirror finish unlike my ACS pieces. The company is ThermalTech Coatings (http://www.thermaltechcoatings.com/) out of Hopewell, Virginia.

This guy is so appropriate for those clowns in Texas: :lala: :lala: :lala:

I was looking for a set of coated headers back in February of this year. I stumbled upon the advertisement for ACS. I called them and spoke with Jimi. Jimi was a pleasure to deal with! HE too is a third gen owner and a really personable guy! So I purchased my headman headers from him. A month later, I received them and I got the O port headers, however, I had D ports. So, I sent the headers back…ON MY DIME! Costed me 45 bucks! Then, I waited another 5 weeks for my new headers! They came, looked beautiful, and were the correct ports. I went to install the headers and the bolt holes that held the header to the head were off 1/8 to 1/16 of an inch one way or the other and the header flange was hitting the frame of the car! I was PISSED!

I called and spoke with Jimi, told him of the problem. He told me to send them back…again. So I paid ANOTHER 45 bucks to have them shipped back to ACS. NO by this time, my car was down since February. I was forced to purchase a second vehicle (actually a third including my wife’s car) in order to commute to work. The added cost of the beater truck, insurance etc… was a major inconvenience! But Jimi’s attitude and cooperation in regards to customer service, I was not too put off by the hassle…….at least at this time. Jimi had suggested me going with the Edlebrock TES headers, so I did. I finally received them in June! It took another 6 weeks to get the third set of headers! When I received them, I was in a rush to get them on because my car had been down for so long.(FEB- mid JUNE). I was in the running to get a new job with medic one and had to have all my business done prior to the start of the program! I put the headers on, but noticed some dimpling of the coating of the tops of the primary tubes. I also noticed that the shine was a dull Grey. I was told to simply rub some mothers polish on the tubes and they would shine right up. The collector looked nice, but the primary tubes looked a dull Grey. I did not think too much about the dull color or dimpling at the time. So I put the headers on as directed by ACS. One month later, I noticed the no. 2 primary tube looked like it was flaking…. Hence the pic! pg 3

I called and spoke with Jimi, he said he would take care of the problem. I called a week later and for some reason, they hired a secretary. And from that point forward, I could never seem to reach either David or Jimi! And the secretary told me that they would pay for the shipping of the headers back to ACS this time and send me a new pair of PROPERLY COATED HEADERS. I was told it would take another 3 weeks or so…….OR SO!
I had told the secretary that now; time was of the essence! You see, I started the medic one program August 10th. The month of August was just riding on the medic units, but none the less, the start of a very intensive year of medical studies! Come September, I would be running off of caffeine and 2hrs sleep every 24-48hrs! SO you can see, I needed to get these headers on my car prior to the start of my very busy year!

Three weeks goes by, it’s sometime in mid July. NO HEADERS!!! I call back and speak to the secretary. She says that the owner said that sending me the Fourth set of header is not FEASABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT FEASABLE?????????????? Wait, I spend 400 bucks with your company, had to purchase a third vehicle waiting on ACS!!! And then, the third sent headers flakes within a month! The headers came to me in QUESTIONABLE QUALITY! And they have the ***** to say sending me a 4th set is not feasible! OMFG! After I go off on the secretary, I tell her to have the owner contact me. Never does! I call back the following week, the secretary says that the owner said he would replace my headers. I was supposed to get these headers in the beginning of August! August 3rd comes; I call and ask about my headers weekly. I can definitely tell I’m getting the run a round! Enough is enough! My 4th set of headers was supposed to be shipped by the first week of august, it's now the middle of september! I am in one of the most difficulty medic schools in the country! Busting my *** with little sleep and now I have to PAY SOMEONE TO PUT MY HEADERS ON MY CAR! Now if ACS had sent me the headers as promised, I would not be in this situation! great customer service!

All I can say is actions speak louder than words………….I am now protesting the charge of these headers with my visa and gave ACS every opportunity to work with me in this situation. As I said in the beginning, I will get this problem resolved one way or the other!

OK. Lemme get this straight.

The first time. You ordered the wrong headers. (Which model?) And realized you had D port heads.

THe second time, the headers didn't fit your car? (dont see how this is ACS's problem).

The third time, after 2 months the coating flaked off?

Now. The flaking would seem to be a problem with ACS's headers. Though. I dunno.. My car is supercharged, around 560hp. I havn't had a problem with their coating. I've had one of my primaries bright orange from a fuel problem, and the coating is still on it. Maybe yours was a fluke?

In any event, I'm surprised they replaced your first two sets. ordering the wrong port, and having the header not fit your car doesn't seem to me like the problem of a coating company.

I dunno.. I got prompt service.. nice coated headers.

I believe what he is saying is that he ordered the right ones, and they sent the wrong ones. Then they sent the wrong ones for the car, and etc. Thats the way that I read it.

Raiden, you have any clarification for us?

NO! They..ACS sent me the wrong headers twice! I ordered the correct headers for my Z and got the wrong headers 2X!!! Sorry if i'm not that clear in my description....1 to 2hrs a sleep a night if I"m lucky due to school! ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz tired!
First set had the wrong port's...the seond set, they sent me a set that did not fit. The bolt holes didnot line up and the collector flange was hitting the frame!

So if you ordered a set of headers and they did not fit, i'm sure you would be pissed too! Let alone my entire experience!

And sure, I bet your headers are fine and dandy! And you did not have any problems with ACS. Good thing you did not have a problem with them or you could easily be in the same boat at I am in!! Good quality customer service is easily delivered when things are working fine. It's how they deal with the problems that arise in the business they conduct between them and their customers which displays thier customer service. Thier actions during confrontations is what truly displays thier dedication to customer service....or customer diservice in my case.

Hope I"m making sence, running on 1hr sleep taking a study break and on the pc..........back to the books and coffee LOTS OF COFFEE

Dude,

That's just wrong! Too me, it sounds like you were too willing to help ACS to do the right thing. They will not ever get any business from me or anyone else I know! I'm sure lot's of Thrid Gen owners got a good quality header from them, but if you have any problems with your headers from ACS.......................I would worry after reading these posts! I mean, DANG!!!! That is just plain f'ed up!!! I would be pissed too !!! Think If you would have purchased the headers from summit, Jegs, or slp and had similar problems. They would have been bending over backwards to keep your business and confidence in their company. And they would have never treated you or anyone else like this! ACS will never get my business!

I dunno. *I* didnt have a problem, and I know a lot of happy folks that bought from ACS..

I'll continue to use them.

Out of 420 ebay feedbacks, they have 9 negatives (rest positive).
Thats a pretty good ratio as far as I'm concerned. Can't keep everyone happy.

I completely agree with you anesthes, I had no problems and everyone that has seen my headers were very impressed with the quality of the work that was done, I have nothing bad to say about them and i have recommended them to plenty of my friends. I'm sorry that everyone is going through this, i wish everyone the best of luck to get it all taken care of. Here is a pic of how mine looked, there wasn't one imperfection with mine. Everyone have a good day!!!

Well, before you all get on the band wagon of "How great they are", You had better think of "thank *** you did not have any problems with them"! Imagine if you did have the problems I have had. Then, throw in terrible customer service! The level of Customer service is only evident when you have problems with a company. You expect to get what you paid for....look what i got!!!!! I should have ACS just sent me a box of $hit and I would be better off!

I've seen that picture a couple times now on here. Wondering if anyone else had the coating flake off, or just you?

I can count on all my fingers and toes people I know who had Jet hot flake off within a year. But so far only one ACS?

I feel even better about ACS now.

Hmm, I think you really need to look at the customer serivce aspect. You pay your hard earned money for a quality product. And yes, you sound like you did get a quality product. However, in the event you did not get what you paid for, got $hity service, and a bunch of unfufilled promises from ACS, I'm sure you would think otherwise!
" can count on all my fingers and toes people I know who had Jet hot flake off within a year. But so far only one ACS? "

Well, look at the customer service I received from ACS!!! I have a freind who had a problem with jet hot's coating. Read how jet hot treated dewey316! If I were to choose a company to deal with in the event of a problem, I would hope to be treated with the same respect as jet hot treat's thier customers in contrast to how I have been treated by ACS!

I will make sure that everyone who even thinks of purcahsing anythign from ACS makes note of my flaking headers and especially thier customer service since I have been dealing with them since Feburary I would just hate it if any of my fellow thridgen'rs got screwed from ASC as I did!

What Raiden is trying to say is that a lot of people have gotten great products from them, which is great - when u make a good product and nothing goes wrong then there is no issue with customer service. But when something goes wrong (like in Raiden's case), thats when u see what kind of customer service the certain company has. Raiden doesn't seem to be pissed about the product being bad, its the fact that ACS hasn't done a damned thing to try to right it. They have dragged their feet with fixing a horrible screw-up on their part and it greatly affects how some ppl look at them. It does mine. I'm scared to death to have my headers come like crap from them. I'm hoping it dont have to go through that same mess.

I could not have said it better myself! Keep in mind, I am getting only 1-3hrs sleep per every 36-48rhs max! Pretty much run shifts from 6a-6p ER time and then go right to the medic unit 6p-6a, sleep for 1-2hrs, class till noon, then back on the medic unit or in the ER! Sorry if I am unclear sometimes...just super tired and pissed about this whole issue that could have been easily avoided!

Does anyone have any opinions on www.thermaltechcoatings.com/? That is a link a guy posted earlier up in the thread.

I think someone should start a poll, ACS or Jethot?

thanks
