I'd try calling in the evening to get Jimmy, as I was told that he's the one usually browsing the forum. Though Cat and Dave also browse under the "Dave Hamilton" name as well.
If anyone wants some REALLY high resolution pictures follow the links below. They are HUGE files because I haven't compressed them much at all.

No answers whatsoever
I have been trying to get a price quote by these guys for some headers, coated and shipped to Sweden. Obviously, since I get no answer, they are not interested in doing business with me. great service?

It took me a week to get my first response on the phone, and when I tried calling I had the best luck around 4:00 - 6:00 EST. That's when they seem to be the most available.

Yeah, they are a small business but they deserve the business they do get. I still praise them, and I will for a while I think.

Jimmi, Dave, Kat, you are welcome to use any of the pictures I took of the headers for advertisements or anything like that. I'm very happy with the coatings so far.
But I have yet to put them on my car. Hopefully in the next two weeks........

Can you guys give me a price on a set of coated 2064's for my 95 Z28 shipped to 86314. These are just headers that bolt directly to my two cats. No y-pipe. Thanks.

Dave,
How much would you charge to coat a set of SLP 1.75" headers w/o air tubes..the single cat y pipe with a cutout welded on in place of cat and a Weiand Stealth dual plane carbed intake manifold?

Give Dave a call? Most businesses don't have a lot of time or personell to sit at the computer and wait on email. I have gotten response from him via email but I bet it's not their primary means of communication.

i want new headers and exhaust (like everything, headers, muffler, etc.) and I'm really interested in those cool 2055 hookers.
I'm just wondering what other exhuast parts you guys have hooked up to the 2055s, or would recomend connecting to the 2055s???

If you need your headers in anything less than a month, I would not recommend ACS. I ordered mine on May 27th and was told that they would be shipped in 10-15 business days. I called back three weeks later and found out that they had to send them back for a new pair because they had a dent in them which is understandable. They didn't bother to call me and let me know about this little setback. I had to call them and find out from them. I then called back last Monday and was told that they had been coated and would be shipped out by the end of the week. Still no luck. I called back today and was told they would be shipped out tomorrow so hopefully that will hold true. So now, a month and a half later, I will (hopefully) finally receive my headers. I posted right after I ordered them about how helpful Jimi had been. I now retract that and think they need to work a little more on customer service. Waiting one and a half months for something without any notice from the company is ridiculous. I gotta say, I'm not sure I would do business with ACS again.

I ordered my 2055's on 6/15 and I do agree that I am getting a little impatient waiting for them.
I did call to modify my order though and they told me that the hookers were backordered from their supplier. I don't know that that is grounds for being upset... but I am getting rather antsy none the less...
I ordered my exaust 2 weeks after the headers and it's been sitting in my living room for a week... I just really want to finish this project.

I ordered my headers on 6/16 a set of Hooker 2055's. Kat took the order and told me within 10 -15 business days. I stil haven't received them so I called and spoke with Kat who told me they are behind but will go out within a few days. This was last week, 7/16. I have already been charged for them but still have not received them. I am also getting ansy but they do put out a great product and backorders do happen. They are also a smaller company and perhaps overwhelmed with the ordering. Hopefully I'll get them in within the week. I'll keep everyone posted.

i already had my headers and called for a price. i have the hooker 2055's wit Y pipe and the charge was $230 w/shipping. i thought that was a pretty good price. sent them in around jun 10 and they came back about 2 weeks later roughly.
soon as i got them home to insoect them there were the beads in the air tubes i made a concern post about in the begenning of this thread.
i called ACS and told them the deal. Jimmy told me to ship them back and they would cover the cost ($10). after waiting another 2½ weeks i got them back. im pleased with what i have. i never had headers coated so i dont have anything to compair them to.
what does bug me a lil is i was told they were shipped out on the 7th of jul and when the 14th came around and no headers i called and Jimmy told me he wasnt happy with the they came out so he was making sure they were right before i got them. i was kool with that so i cant complain. they coverd my shipping and gave me a $25 gift certificate for the inconvenience.
i would prob use their services again.

spoke with Kat today, seems there was something wrong with the current batch of coating. Now my headers will not ship out until earliest next Friday.

Well, I got my headers last Friday as promised and they looked great. Although I waited a month and a half... I must say that their product is really fantastic. My only two complaints are that ...
1) The O2 Bung was ceramic coated inside... so when I was under the car, trying to put the sensor in, the threads would not catch. I spent 3 hours going to stores, and looking for the right tap to match the threads on the sensor, and another hour making sure that it was in right.
2) They shipped me the headers and y-pipe without any hardware at all. I don't know if it's because they were in a hurry to get it to me, or what, but I had no bolts that were long enough or matched the threads for the flanges on the collectors.
Great product... but for the time the customer has to spend waiting for them, I don't think that it's unfair to ask for a threaded hole and some bolts.
Would I order from them again? Only if I were guaranteed that they would be here in a reasonable amount of time.

Digital, I had the exact same problems.
Dave, Jimmy. I suggest plugging an old, bad O2 sensor into the bug while you spray them.
And I never had any hardware either, Its taken WAY too long to find the right hardware as none of the stores, or auto stores have the hardware in grade 5 or grade 8. I can get it in grade 3, but thats not good enough!

All I could find were grade 2 bolts, and they wern't even completely threaded. The were just the ones with an inch or two of thread towards the end. I actually ended up forcing the stock bolts to work, don't ask me how, but we did.

How much to coat a pair of SLP 1 3/4 headers and y-pipe and to weld on a second O2 sensor bung for my LT1 install. Where in H-Town you at?..I can probably just stop by..to save on shippping.

The problems are not all that big in any case. Certainly not enough to warrent black listing them.
The issue of the O2 should be resolved. As far as the missing hardware? I'll consider that an oopsie, nothing to really worry about.

1) Need to work on being more accurate with ship times.
2) O2 threads sould be tapped
3) Hardware? Not a big deal, but it saves a lot of time.
All were very helpful... I would do business with them again.

I have a 1984 Z28 HO 305 L69 I am doing rebuild now and need headers w/ y pipe. What kind do I need with my car. I have all the emisions and A.I.R. I dont't need top dollor headers but want them coated. don't need y pipe coated. I am serious about the purchase.
Thanks Kelly

As far as the hardware + gaskets go, I got mine as well. The gaskets went right in the garbage where they belong. I used the hedman bolts cuz, but if I got hooker those woulda went in the garbage too.
Collector bolts ended up in garbage, because you use longer ones with aluminum collector gaskets.

I still don't understand the o2 sensor issue. Mine arrived coated inside and out, including the threads. I tossed a brand new 02 sensor in there in 10 seconds.
