True dual Mufflers?
Ahhh My first car....1988 Camaro Sport Coupe with a 305 TBI. Well i got a month before i get my license soo i wanna modify it. I know its possible to do true duals and thats what im going for maybe 2 1/2 all the way back what kinda mufflers? i want a nice throaty sound. there will be two cutouts right after the headers. What are the best for around 100 to 150 dollar range? and last but not least can i get a good dirt car sound with those? You know the nice throaty loud sound of open headers on a worked small block stock car with the cut outs open of course. Thanks guys!

My wife borrowed my Camaro today to run errands while I worked on her Bonneville. As she pulled away from the house, I realized again how loud and throaty that Camaro is.
True duals on a stock TBI car is close to silly, from a performance standpoint. You'd be better served getting headers, cat, & cat-back for '86-'90 single-cat application. It will fit without any fabrication required, produce nice exhaust note (which cat-back you choose will affect that more than anything else), and will actually produce a performance increase at a reasonable cost. Cut-out(s) still a possibility, but won't have much effect on performance.
