New Headers.. EGR, AIR, etc.. useless?
Ok, I recieved my Hedman Full-length Hedders from Summit w/ no AIR/EGR provisions, and I'm getting ready to have them installed. Now, my question is -- what about EGR? I'd really like to just rip out the AIR and EGR setup to clean up the engine bay. AIR I already know is safe to remove, but what about EGR? I have the means to burn a new PROM sans the EGR routines, would that be enough? However, I would be required to drive the car for a short while until I get the PROM burned.. would I do any damage?
I live in Florida, so emissions and whatnot are not a concern. I'll be running true-duals to 2 Dynomax Bullet Mufflers w/ turn downs right before the rear wheels if that matters.
Thanks!
edit: I'm also fully aware removing the EGR will cause a SES light until I get the PROM burned, however, I'm not worried about a light..

Unless you've got Vette or Vortec heads, EGR doesn't come off the manifolds/headers.
