Car: 1989 Formula 350 / 2000 Lightning

Spintech is on the way!!!!

After doing alot....and I mean ALOT of research, I have come to the conclusion that the "nofaster" 40 series I have on my car is not the muffler for me. So I made a little call to www.gofastparts.com and ordered me the Sportsman Street model 3444 and it will be in on Monday!!!! I have always had Blowmasters....nofasters....I mean Flowbastards since I was out of highschool (very long ago) and they have been good. But when I read that Spintech is made to order (no assembly line...each muffler is basically one of a kind) and gives you better flow and less interior noise (except at WOT), I HAD TO CHANGE!!!

Give me your input on my decision...

You won't regret you decison, try and get a sound clip on hear so other people can hear that sweet sound. I've got the 343SC model. Oh, and you're right about the hand-made type deal, they are pretty much all custom, which is why you pay a little more for them. But that $30 more is WAY more than worth it IMO. -89IRO

Got the Spintech put on yesterday......WOW!!!!! Now when I am at an idle, it is deep and smooth (not loud and gaudy like Flowmaster) but when I mash it......SINGS LIKE YOU ARE AT A WINSTON CUP EVENT!!!!! I love it.....I will try to get a sound clip so that you can here it. Oh yeah------The muffler guy (after install) said "Those guys in California are on to something. Get me a card, name , number, something" I think to myself " NAH..I will keep the Spintech to myself!!"

I've got a set of SLP 1 3/4 headers and a Mufflex 3 1/2 cat back with a set of Random Technology cats and a Flowmaster Y-pipe going on as we speak can't wait to fire it up.

Spintech all the way. I've had the Flowmaster I'd like to sound different than all the other F-bodies I keep hearing.

Good man. Are you using one of their race mufflers? That's going to sound so bad-***. I'm glad that a lot of other people here are relizing that there is something other than and better than flowmaster and hooker (IMO). -89IRO

Where is the cheapest place to get Spintech? You guys have me VERY interested in swapping my Flowmaster for one of these.I am looking to get a little quieter at idle and cruise but still scream at WOT.And I hate the way mine pops and crackles after I let off of a WOT run.The decelleration is annoying/sounds like *** on the Flowmaster.Looking for a single 3" in and out...single driver side tailpipe Force II replacement muffler. What do you recommend?

You would have to shop around to find the best price. Try going to some different muffler shops to see how much they want. Or just order direct from spintech. -89IRO

I tried the shop around method. There were only a few shops around that handle them & they all wanted the same price or more than Spintech direct. I ordered from Spintech (which the shops would have to do anyway since they didn't stock the ones I wanted).

Yeah, but then you pay shipping, unless those shops included shipping in your quote, then I guess getting them yourself would be the way to go. -89IRO

The closest shop to me was Mufflex, about an hour & half from where I live. Not worth the time & gas to drive over there & back for $14 in shipping that Spintech charged me.
