The internal baffles/baffling is different. As a result, each will flow differently producing different power as well as different sound and tone.

It might be something to look into but I have heard rumers about the edelbrock mufflers. I have heard the mustang guys that have tried these mufflers say the internals come apart in the Edelbrock. I don't know how true this is but it could be a factor in your desicion.

I was just fixxing to post and ask about this.My wife's car has a Hooker Aero Chamber on it right now but it is starting to get acouple of holes in it.I've been debating on putting something different back on it.Namely an Edelbrock RPM series.Anyone know which is the better choice.I'm having a hard time 'cause the Hooker sounds pretty sweet.I may just get another one of those.

I've got the Edelbrock RPM series on my 82 Z28 with stock manifolds and cat. It sounds decent at idle, but sounds sweet at of above 2500 RPM.

If I where you I wound go with the edelbrock or the flowmaster, 2 diffrent sound ing systems but both sound great. I think the hooker system is for older muscle cars, it just has that sound to it.

Had a AeroChamber for about a year. Seems to be a well constructed piece. Not to loud at idle, but it does wake up at WOT.
