True Dual Exhaust
There is a small possibility that I will put a 350 into my formula this winter. How big of an advantage would it be to put on True Dual EXhaust??? Will it fit, is there room for it?? Didn't the 91-92 Birds with 350's come with stock dual exhaust? How much would the dual exhaust help me now, with my 305 TBI??? Very interested, and possibly dreaming, but i still would like to know.

look at my reply on the post dual exhaust. It is fairly recent, I think that's the whole title. I outline what I'm doing as soon as I get these headers on. Can't promise for sure it will work because I haven't done it. I did plan it out and went through 10 or fifteen different ideas, before settling on this one. I will have stock ground clearance or better. I will have a crossover. I will be able to put SFCs in just fine. Check it out. It's long though--I detailed the whole thing.

Not really, my buddy paid 150 for his first setup (labor+materials, no muffs) it was 2 1/2 inch routed in stock location. Car picked up 4 tenths in the 1/8 mile. (8.17 to 7.73) this was with shorty headers also. Most people dont realize that the low point of any exhaust that has full length headers is the collector flanges. just my .02

maybe the exhaust on my car is probably what you consider true duals: Two pipes, one on each side of the driveshaft, 3" each. Oh yeah, it only cost me 175...for 3". You just gotta find someone that is willing to do it.

I am planning on putting dual exhaust on my car, 406 with hooker super comps, i saw in person a 89 formula 350TPI 5 speed car(yes it was a custom job)at bowling green kentucky earlier this year at the EFI shoot out. it had super comp long tubes, with 3inch true dual exhaust all the way back, and 2 chamber flowmasters under the rear seats, and has a crossover tube. it looked great, and the ground clearence looked just fine, it didnt hang down. it ran straight back along the driveshaft and the mufflers hung under the rear seats, he said he beat the rear seats up about 2 inches and thats it. it sounded great, you cant get that sound out of single exhaust. IMO, if you can find a shop that will do it, its worth it. thats just my .02

Fastest N/A TPI car Ive heard of to date. He definitely can go 12's, but doesnt want to break the 'ol 5spd.
