Headers for 82 Z28 305
I am looking for suggestions for a set of headers for my z28. I have an edelbrock performer intake and an edelbrock rpm series cat-back. I am looking at either SLP or Hooker Super Comp, but want to make sure they would fit. Also, will they fit onto the stock pipe (I know that SLP makes an adapter for the LG4, what about Hooker?)
, or will i need to weld, and/or get new pipes to the cat??
Any help would be appreciated.

Forget the stock y-pipe. It's junk. Get headers with a y-pipe made for later TPI engines that have a 3" pipe at the cat. And, get a 3" high-flow cat. You may have to adapt to get it to fit your cat-back, but that's a bunch better than parts made to "fit" your car.
Either SLP or Hooker 2055's would be fine. Even TES, for that matter. But, don't buy anything made to fit factory LG4 parts.
