flowmaster vs glasspack

Hey guys,
I could use some opinions on this. I am a person who has no belief in glasspacks, but an exaust specialist told me he was messing around and instead of wasting a new flowmaster on an experimental exaust set up, he threw on a glasspack. He said he was surprised to find the car sounds and performs better. Has anyone tried this? Let me know. I'm reworking with my exaust. That is my last decision.Oh I drive an 87 T/A.Thanx

Glasspacks sound like ****. Always go with a good exhaust system or muffler over them.

Glasspacks typically rob power, so I don't see how a glasspack would make it perform better... I would have stock exhaust before I had a glasspack...Had one on my truck, it wasn't worth the $20 I payed for it....If your looking for Cheap staight through exhaust, get a bullet muffler for $10 more!

yeah glss packs suck man

i have never ever seen a glass pack sound as good as aftermarket muffler system.

and as ssaudio said it red neck exaust to me he is right when ever i see a car with glass packs on it it just tell me that you cant afford to put a real set up on therer and it looks real cheap to.
and ill say it again it just doesnt have that tone that real mufflers do imop

as you can see in my sig my car had flow masters on it and i love them im willing to say that i have the best sounding exaust in my toun wat little one it is but i still do every one in my little toun im talking about parishville has eather strate pipes, fake dual exaust on 4 cylinders or glass packs.

and i know mine sounds way better then any of them it has alot deeper tone to it

You guys are thinking about cherry bombs. A good quality glasspack sounds very good ad doesent rob power, no glasspack made in recent years will rob power. They use to make a glasspack that had a restriction a windmill looking pice of metal to rid the dreaded poping when you let off the gas at high RPM. That design would rob power. A well designed system will sound good no matter what type of muffler is on it or no muffler at all.
