Turn Downs.
Can someone please explain this to me a little more. I've heard of alot of mustangs doing it. Where do they turn down at? Does it make it alot louder? Does it distort the normal muffler sound? Any advantages/disadvantages.
Thanks.
I'll be running a B&B triflo muffler... it's not real loud... looking to make it louder.

I havent gotten mine done yet, but from whut I have heard it does help alittle for sound. I plan on cuttin my tail pipes off about 2 inches out of the muffler then puttin the turn downs on. Like I said I havent done it yet, but it will be done. Talk to NJSpeeder on the TBI forum or BLACKBIRD305. They are the ones that are going to help me do mine.

my friend did it on his 88GT mustang. He has a Hooker system. He did it because his gas tank started leaking and didn't want the exuast near it. Its louder but it doesn't sound as clean as before.

I think it improves sound greatly especially with duals. No more back cackling. Also makes it louder. This is from a flowmaster users point of view. I ran my turndowns directly after the mufflers.(welded to outlets)
