Rotten egg smell=bad cat?

My car smells like rotten eggs is my cat dead?

There is sulfur in gas, sometimes more in some than others.. try changing brands.

my freind ran reguler from texaco and said it smelled like eggs. so the next day he put super and it didnt smell at all

Thanks for the help guys. Im gonna Gut it. Hopefully that will make it smell normal. If that doesnt fix it i'll check on the mixture

Don not gut it. I have a new cat and I have the same smell. I have adjusted the idle air mxture and it corrected the problem

How did you adjust it? Would a new 02 sensor help? Im gonna put new wires and cap and rotor on this weekend so should i just go ahead and change the 02 sensor too?

My car has been idling pretty rough ever since it started smelling. Are those symptoms of a bad cat or bad air/fuel mixture? opr both

Try changing the o2 sensor, that can cause you to idle badly. An old cat won't cause any problems, unless its clogged.

Actually my sisters cat did disappear right around the time my car started smelling
