Header Paint or Powder Coating?

Which would be a better idea for my headers? Almost all of the factory paint has burned off, so i'm gonna clean them up and then do something with them. Either get some header paint or I'll have it powder coated. Which would be a better idea (ie, which would look better, which would last longer?)

Send them off to Jet Hot or get some high temp paint. Powder coating will not work, the exhaust gets way too hot for it.

Definently JET HOT....if you go to www.jet-hot.com you can aks them to send you some information on it. I asked them for some info...and they sent me a catalog with a video tape....it is really great...and it's free...also great guys to deal with. When I get my TES headers...I'm going to send them off to get them coated...the only way to go..IMO....

I'll debate that.. YOU CAN Powdercoat headers. They make a Hi Temp powder. I do powdercoating myself and Have HI TEMP powders. They work well. The company I buy my powder off of has Been doing powdercoating for over 50yrs and does tons of headers.

Now Im getting a new Product from HPC which is a ceramic just like JET HOTS if not better. and Prob wont even bother with powder for headers any more.

go with jet hot. my headers were glowing bright orange when i first started up the new motor. the coating is still on there. it just dulled the finish a little bit. its deffinately worth the money

Hehe, i wish i could go with a Jet Hot coating.. i even got the tape and catalog that they send you, but i just don't have the money for it right now.

TPI383 - If i call one of the powder coating shops around here, what should i ask to have put on my headers? And how much do you think it would cost?

Well, I said what I said because the only powdercoating I've seen can't hold up to those temps. If there's a high temp powdercoat, cool.

Ok, well, I thought i was told to powder coat my headers by a friend of mine, but I misunderstood.

But... what was TPI383 saying about hi-temp powdercoatings? Does this work?
