SLP headers installed!!!!!!

I got my car back from the shop today after they reinstalled the Monza Pacesetter muffler (part of the catback which is on the car) and the SLP 1 5/8 jet coated headers.

What a difference! People say these things wake up with headers and they arent lying! I lost a little, very little on the low end, but gained EVERYWHERE else.

The headers tick a little... I have Mr. Gasket Ultra Seals and locking bolts... a friend of mine told me that they will tick a little until they break in, is this true?

My car was running a lot hotter than usual today after I got the car back, and it wasn't even hot out. Is this normal? The headers are stainless steal to begin with and jet hot coated on top of that...therefore, how can headers drastically affect coolant temp???

Sorry for the length... any info or comments is appreciated.

When u get headers, even if u get them coated, they will bring up the temp.

Dude, I also want to tell u that your SOUND FILES do not work on your site.

Yes, I know that the sound files don't work anymore (I'm about to remove the links now). Besidesm those sound files are from my car when it had stock exhaust manifolds, 3'' cat back and no muffler.

Try going in and re-tightening all the header bolts. With the expansion and contraction that headers experience, sometimes the bolts have to be tightened several time before they finally stop backing off. I had to tighten mine about 4 times over a couple weeks before they finally stopped backing off. It's not a bad idea to check your header bolts for tightness at least once a month. That's a lot easier than replacing the gasket. It's also possible a gasket got damaged so check that.
