What headers for a duel exhaust setup?

OK I am gonna do a true duel exhaust setup, just headers to pipes to the mufflers dumped right in front of the axle. I want the headers smog legal however. which ones do i want? who else makes smog legal headers for our cars besides Edlebrock TES and SLP?

check my site. You can use Hookers, SLP, or Edelbrocks. I think Kevin L. said he had soem SLPs without the Y pipe. That would be perfect for you. go ask him on www.sc3gfb.org . You will need a Y pipe and cat in the stock place to pass smog though.

Ok, thanks. But if I can get away with the Hooker's that'd be great cause they're half the price of the Edlebrock TES and a whole loet less than SLP.

the cheap hookers aren't legal. My legal ones go for $350 with Y pipe.

"True duals" and "smog legal" are practically mutually exclusive. You can do shorties with A.I.R. & O2 fittings, but if you then take them straight to the mufflers with no cat in the factory position, you are NOT smog legal! So, what exactly are you trying to achieve?

The Hooker 2055's (as opposed to the 2460's) have a y-pipe that allows you to put a 3" slip-fit cat in the factory positon and keep it entirely smog legal. What you do after the cat is up to you. Similar results could be accomplished with TES, Hedman, SLP, Dynomax, etc. Or, you could get a dual-cat system from TES or SLP, and put your duals after them. But, to retain "smog legal", you'll need a y-pipe to the cat(s).

Ok, what I meant was smog legal headers. I know the rest of it wont be but I want the headers to be so that I can swap on the stock setup to pass inspections.

And after some looking....those cheaper hooker's will do just fine, they come with a location for the O2 sensor and AIR fittings.

you are in CA. If you don't have the E.O. tag that makes them smog legal, THEN THEY AREN'T smog legal. The cheap ones will not let you pass even with a Y pipe cat air and all that crap without that E.O. tag.
