Summit Headers?

Anyone in here tried the Summit brand headers...I noticed them today in the Catalog. They are $10 less then the Flowtechs...Anyone know any details about Primary size etc? It doesn't say. Just wondering if they were any good for $79.99...Thanks

What ones are you talking about, exactly? Have the p/n? I don't have the catalog with me, just looked up their website.

I don't see any Summit headers listed for 3rd gen chassis. And, if they aren't listed for 3rd gen chassis, you'll be wasting $79.99 plus the per-order handling fee.

I don't recall hearing anyone say they've used them. The tech info on their web says:

* Primary tube diameter: 1 1/2 in.
* Collector size: 3 in.
* Finish: Black
* Factory Y-pipe will require modifications
* Shorty style header
* Equipped with oxygen sensor fitting
* Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles.

They would be fine for mild engines. A 350 would only be good to about 5000 RPMs with them. Lack of a y-pipe a minus unless you know a shop that will mandrel bend one cheap (a guy from Omaha claims he had one made for $65. I've paid more than that to get a crappy job of welding exhaust pipes to collector adapters).
