Need cheap, good headers for non-smog car.

Im putting a new 350 in my 91rs right now and i need to get some headers. I want some cheap, decent headers...im gonna run true duals and its already not smog-legal so i dont need them to be...although if theyre close to the same price it might be cool for if i ever switch to a super ram. What kind/size headers should i get? Not sure if it matters but the engine is gonna be putting out about 475 hp at the crank.

No such thing as cheap and good headers. You want to build an engine that makes 475 HP but you want to choke it off with cheap headers?

For an engine like that, you want 1 3/4" headers, and SLP is the only ones I know about, unless you go with Hooker long tubes.

Well...not cheap as in bad quality...but as in not the most expensive ones out there...So slp is the only ones that make 1 3/4"? Hmm...even non smog equipped? Well thanks for the info. What would be the advantages/disadvantages to going with the long tubes?

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350

Pros- Pros use long tube headers.
They have equal length primary tubes which have a better scavenging effect.

Cons- The collector flanges sit pretty low to the ground.
They usually cost more.

Check out Hooker Super Comp Headers. They are a little cheaper than SLP, and made by Holley, so they can't be too bad. You can get them through Summit or Jegs for about $380. If 1 5/8" are OK then look at The Competition Series. They run about $140-145. With 475hp I would recommend 1 3/4" too though.

Also, FYI, If pros are good and cons are bad then what is the opposite of progress? CONGRESS!!!!
