Got my Spintech muffler installed today!
Oh man does it sound bitchin!!!!!!!! I got it installed today (part # 343sc) along with a high-flow cat. and SS tips. It is noticeable at idle but not overly loud at all, but when you stomp on it, wow! (It gets inside of you.) Anyways I wish I could share the sound with you guys but I don't have the equipment to record it and put it on the internet. -89IRO

Mark- fist of all I wasn't bad-mouthing any company- little quick to jump all over something aren't we? Anyways, at summit the hooker cat-back is $259.99- I payed $100 even for my Spintech muffler- what the hell are you smoking? Besides, I wouldn't get anything with the hooker name other than their headers. The inside of that "aero chamber" looks pretty freaky to me (there, I was bad-mouthing your muffler- just letting you know). -89IRO

Read the description in the Jegs catalog btw, about producing more tq than open 2.5'' pipes with the AC muffler.
i never knocked what you had, I just can't see spending $100 for that muffler on a 250hp engine, now if you have like a 500 hp one, maybe.

My panties are not in a bunch, trust me. The Spintech mufflers are like $20-$30 more than say flowmaster because they are not all mass-produced. Plus, they are of a lot higher quality than flowmaster because I've seen the two in person. I can't say much about your hooker because I have not held and inspected it. All I know is that I'm willing to spend $20 more on a quality product, that I think sounds twice as good, and at the same time will make me a bit different than everyone else. Oh and mark- I didn't really understand anything you were talking about in your second paragraph- btw? AC muffler? -89IRO

Mark- it's advertising- they say stuff that you wanna here so that you go and buy their product. Maybe it is true, but it also may true with every other performance muffler out there. -89IRO

I was just tryin to prove that the AC muffler isn't a bad design eventhough "it scares you".

I was just trying to post a picture of my muffler, taken from my digital camera, but it just wouldn't go through. I am pretty sure I did everything right. Oh, and you never wrote back in the oil board why Pennzoil was bad- can you go to that board and tell me? -89IRO

Evil- I'm not arguing with you, but what is in Pennzoil that make the engine produce more sludge and crap than other oils? And what's in valveoline that make it not sludge (as much?) -89IRO

Different additives in the oil I guess... also it has to do with the way you drive the car. If it's short around town driving 90% of the time, you're going to have trouble.

You can get the spintech straight from the manufacturer. I think they lowered the price too. like 109. I am sold on it. I got the flowmaster and im not too thrilled about it. Ill just get the 3 in dual 3 out and re-use the flomaster pipes. I like the tips.

An exhaust shop should be able to order them for you straight from their distributor. That's how I got mine, then you don't have to pay for shipping. (But they probably include that in the price of the thing.) -89IRO
