what is so different about exhaust for an 85 TPI ?

All the catalogs I look at list 86-92 for TPI cat-back exhaust systems. What about 1985? What are/is the difference between 1985 and the rest of the camaro 305/350 TPI single-cat exhaust system world?

Any suggestions for a duel outlet cat back system fot that year (not $Borla though)? I am looking at dynomax and flowmaster but I only see single outlet exhaust with flowmaster.

the same exhaust will fit on 1982-1992 camaros no problem.
Single outlet mufflers work better.

good luck

TPI's and HO's have 4 bolts others have 2 bolts. 2 and 4 bolts on the cat that is.

The 83-85 305HO/TPI have a 4-bolt flange cat, the 86-92 TPI cars have a slip fit in the front of the cat and a 2-bolt ball/socket type connection behind the cat.

I didn't know that '86 up HO's had 2 bolts, are the cats from HO's a size bigger too?
