What do you guys think? Yes or No?

I have a Pontiac Grand Prix with a GM 305 5 liter LG4 engine (yuck). I currently have out of EACH manifold a high flow cat into a Flowmaster 2 chamber muffler. Car sounds pretty sweet even though it is not that quick. I wonder, if I put headers on the car, will my sound improve alot more? Forget performance for now, conecentrating on sound primarily. If my car wont run 12-13 seconds, I want it to sound like it will at least...heh....thanx in advance guys....

Yep, it'll have that unmistakable tinny header sound. Retard the timing and it'll get even louder, but the performance will suck.

I've heard otherwise...but, I got absolutely NO sound difference from My headers except more annoying "hissy" noise from the engine area (and, NO there are no leaks)
The best sound difference I ever got (besides flowmasters) was getting the cat taken off.
just my $.2 plus tax...

MAN!!!! Headers are the best mod you can do to your exhaust. and headers will give you more of a muscle car rumble. and it will change your sound alot(in a good way). ive never had any hissing exept for exhaust leaks. and it should give you 10-20 hp. Freeing up you exhaust is one of the best mods.
