Who has actually compared the Flowmaster 40 and 80 Series to the Hooker Aerochamber??
Who has compared the sound and performance of the Flowmaster 40 and 80 Series to the Hooker Aerochamber? When I get the IROC 350, I want an exhaust that is loud and muscular. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Tell you what IROCZTWENTYGR8, why don't you go buy a Flowmaster Series 40; a Flowmaster Series 80; and a Hooker Aerochamber muffler. Take them to a muffler shop. Pay to have the Flowmaster 40 welded into place. Then, go to a chassis dyno shop, and pay to have a chassis dyno run performed. Go buy a tape recored. Record the sound. Go buy a audio card for your computer, and make a .wav file of the sound.
Now, go back to the muffler shop. Pay to have the Flowmaster 40 removed, and the Flowmaster 80 welded in place. Go back to the chassis dyno shop. Pay to have a chassis dyno run performed. Record the sound, and make a .wav file.

Post all the info here, and the .wav files.
Come on, somebody's gotta do it! And we don't want to pay for it either!
LOL, j/k

LOL TK!!!!!!!! Some 1 should do that!! When I get that car I want to make the 1st exhaust I put on that car the right 1. Every sound file I have heard, the Flowmaster sounded better, but every1 still says so many good things about the Hooker Aerochamber. I want loud and muscular and dual tailpipes!!

ya know...i want a classic flowmaster 40 but i hear so much good stuff about hooker aerochamber, but i think flowmaster still sounds more masculine and less restrictive.

Well, as I've posted before I have the dual outlet Flowmaster setup on my 86 IROC (I don't know which series), and the Hooker Aerochamber setup on my 87Z. I prefer the Hooker system, but they both sound good. The quad tips are a plus for me too. Just my .02. If I were buying a cat-back to replace the one on either car it would be another Hooker Cat-back...

I have actually had all 3. Well the 30 series is what comes with the force 2 system. I originally had the 80 series...sounded good, but I wanted something different, so I bought the Hooker setup...it sounded, looked and performed better than the 80 series IMHO...then my buddy offered me as much as I paid for the hooker system when it was 3 mos old, so I sold it and bought the flowmaster force 2 system (single 3in/out)...It has a wicked racy sound and was worth a .10 in the 1/4. Out of all I think I may have like the hooker the best....but performance is performance and that is what the flowmaster force 2 gave me. By the way...I am selling the flowmaster force 2 system (3mos old) to go with true duals...the single 3in is not enough pipe now.
