Holy crap! 5" tips? That's huge-mongous. Do you have a picture?

I shouldn't think the tips should make too much difference in sound. Maybe he meant a 2.5 inch or 3 inch exhaust system completely instead of the tips?

I'm sure it does, I just didn't think it would make a dramatic change. I could very well be wrong though.

i wish i had a pic

No i don't have a pic .. it honestly doesn't look that great because the back bumper makes the tips point down about an inch so its at a slant .. however i am trying to take some pics to post on here ..

Here's Magnaflow's web page for tips.

http://www.magnaflow.com/03tipspg.htm

They show 4" tips that can be used on 2.5" pipes.

BTW, Mine are 2.5" pipes going into those 3.5" tips.

Let me know if you're interested (PM me). The guy I got mine from carries Magnaflow, Ravin, Flowmaster, etc. and can get them for you pretty cheap.

What size tips are those? Where did you get them? I think those are some of the best looking round tips I've seen. Nice car.

IROC350TPI...

The reason his Flowmaster CatBack looks so good is because he had someone put it on who knew what they were doing. His tips are sitting PERFECTLY. When I had my no muffler setup put on, I watched them weld the tips on. They initially put them on without welding and said is this how you want it, if so, we will weld them in place. They were not close to the bumper and not sitting straight (horizontal) and nor were the equidistant from each other and the sides of the bumper. I had to totally correct them to get them somewhat closer to what I wanted.

Next time I get tips like that welded on, I'm gonna do what I should have done in the first place. Find a car, like IROC350TPI's and print the picture and show them how tips are supposed to sit! To make a long story short (too late) nice car!

Yes his tips are put on in the correct place and way, coming straight out and aligned with the bumper. The only thing is I would like tips like that on mine (Flowmaster) but I like a more angled cut and them coming out past the bumper more. Don't even have the car yet though!!

I have 3 inch. Anything bigger than that is for people lacking in the real "tip" dept.

Normally I would agree that bigger than 3" and it looks TOO BIG!!! But with the ones I bought, since they're rolled edges, they don't look like 3.5" tips. They look more like 3" IMO.

I used to have 2.5" 45* angle cuts, so I was afraid that 3.5" would be too much. But now that I've got them on, I LOVE 'EM!!! I think the 15* cut is a little less abrupt, and cleaner looking, but that's just my 2¢.

Here's the email of the guy I got mine from. Tell him I sent you and that you know I got mine for $60 /pr.

But IROC350TPI's don't look like stock Flowmaster tips to me, cause the ones that came with mine are delibrately angled down (there is a bend in them). I wish I could get them to come straight out like that. Where would I get a set of those?
