to O2 or not to O2 ??

If I lose the cat. can I just get O2 simulators, or will the computer screw up my fuel settings?

The cat doesn't have anything to do with the O2 sensor. The sensor is located in the exhaust manifold/header collector, and the cat is down-stream of that.

Hey. Well assuming you're talking about a thirdgen then removing the cat won't affect the O2 sensor. (As said before) But if you're talking about a newer car that does have another O2 sensor after the cat then you'll probably just set a code. Even then, from what I know, the second O2 sensor is just to monitor emissions and doesn't affect the fuel settings.

My 2 cents,
David

Thanks fellas. I just want to lose the cat and didn't know if doing so would throw a code. I appreciate it.
