Car: Camaro
Engine: 350 SBC
Transmission: Five speed
question
i have an american thunder catback and i want to put dumps right out of the sides of the muffler instead of the full length tailpipes going to the back of the car (for more of a stealth look). Will this make the sound quieter when outside of the car and/or make it louder inside of the car since the exhaust exits further underneath the car?

Car: 92 RS - Fully Restored w/Custom Int
Engine: LO3 with some mods
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Richmond
It depends on which way the pipes are pointing.
Point the tailpipes down, the exhaust will echo off the ground which will make the car sound louder both outside and inside.
Point the tailpipes out the back (like mine) and the car sounds loudest to those behind the car and quieter on the inside.
Just curious, why would you want a stealth exhaust ?

i also think the back of the car would look nice without exhaust pipes sticking out of the back. At least the ones i have.
