Headers heating up plug boots?

I installed a set of Hedman headers on my third gen and I am having trouble keeping the spark plug boots from getting to hot. There are two boots that are close to the headers. I have replaced the boots twice and yet they still end up turning into a flaky rubbery sludge that crumbles off. Has anyone else had this problem?

You have 90* boots right? Maybe try shorty spark plugs. Or get some heat sleeving like 2400* kind.
