Selling it because I can do no more to improve it, and the continual quest for new challenges.
I love building cars more than driving them! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy driving it but its time to evolve and move on.
The drum brakes work very well and didn't need changing to discs. Spare money I used to do something else. Attention to detail doesn't necessarily mean wholesale modifications. It means paying attention to, perhaps, what you already have.
You guys have it easy! Good access to used parts to swap. I am stuck in the UK working with what I can get
Thanks for your question though. A good one.
Andy.

Hi Andy,
Good luck with the sale. Remember to tell the buyer about thirdgen.org.
Can I ask, what did you think about the Coverite outdoor cover you have for this car and what size did you get?
Will we still see you on here or is the next project non thirdgen?
Cheers,
Robert

Re: My airride custom 86 camaro for sale...............
I will tell the new owner (if there is one!) about thirdgen!
The cover was good BUT I still got moisture underneath it! I had to remove it at least once a week to dry it out-and the car! Which is not easy in the winter. Better than being exposed but not much!
The best cover is a garage!
I got the actual one that was advertised as a camaro one! For a 16 foot car.
The next project is well under way but needs funds to finish it.
If you have half a day read this http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/u...95#Post1872395
What cars/projects have you got/doing?

Hi Andy,
The only project I have on at the moment is the IROC, which will go one forever to be honest as I never intend to sell the car so it will grow with me. I'm currently just finishing off my rear axle build which will be going on the car soon hopefully - really looking forward to getting a working posi and a decent set of gears for my 2800rpm stall, the 2.73 are hateful. After that I hope to get the front brakes upgraded this year.
I've only read the start of your thread, but I love the Crown Vic, very nice. Personally, I think I'd keep the wood on it but will be interesting to see what you do with it.
Don't become a stranger, not too many of the old crowd left on here.
