350 "base" HO vs 350 "deluxe" HO

I am going to be swaping one of these motors into my car this summer. I was looking at these two engines. Is there any other difference between the two besides the "deluxe" model comes with Vortec design intake manifold, distributor, flexplate, torsion damper, water pump, and exhaust manifolds and the "base" model does not?
If this is the only difference, is it worth the extra $1050 (jegs prices)? Or would it be better to buy the base and work up with better parts?
Also, does either one of these enignes come with a carb or TBI? Or do I have to buy that also?

Thanks a lot,
Kevin

So If I get the "base" I will have to buy all that stuff and a TB or Carb? It sounds like the better buy is the "deluxe".

Did you live in Salisbury at one time? Or do you just know Perdue. Frank Perdue actually lives a couple houses down from me.

Personally I would take the base model and work it up. Fro 1,000 you can do alot to it and put what you want on it not GM. You can get abetter intake and stuff and wake up the engine alot more. This is just me personally....

lived in So MD, the middle part, for 12 yrs. just remember that chicked smell during the road trip to Ocean City.

there's also www.beachcam.com that has a live feed of a section of the boardwalk in OC. I also like the harbor cam in Anapollis & Baltimore.

If you have plans/intake & whatnot allready you can build up the block how you want it. If you want the least amount of work to be done to have it running, get the deluxe. personnal preference.
