Cam suggestions (age old post)
I've been looking for an hour now in the archives for past posts on Cam selections. Lots of good info but a real time consumer.
I'm looking for cam suggestions for my 383 buildup.
The sheet looks like this.
383 w/5.7 rods (stock roller block)
AFR 195CC street heads
1.6 roller rockers
Super Ram and Base
24lb injectors
1 5/8 SLPs for sale (will go to 1 3/4)
I want to stay with 112 lobe sep.
I've picked out a few but I haven't had much time to look today.
Here's what I've found so far:
Comp cam: 08-306-8 or 08-418-8
Crane: HR-284-25-12-IG
Lingenfelter: 74219
Does anybody have any experience with any of these cams?
Any comments and suggestions are welcome!

I am going to do the pretty much the same build up myself, and I am going with the crane personally. I saw a build up on a 350 and it will be perfect with the redline and power down low. That is my thought.
